Energy-saving kindergarten building in Trutnov
Lacko, Martin ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis is to propose the construction of a new kindergarten with almost zero energy consumption. The building is purposefully divided into three parts, with one part serving as facilities for staff, the second part consisting of classrooms for children, and the third part comprising a speech therapy clinic. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part focuses on the design of the structural solution, which involves a single-story, without basement structure. Load-bearing vertical structures are made of aerated concrete masonry, and horizontal load-bearing structures consist of hollow precast Spiroll panels. The building's roof is designed as a flat, single-layer, extensive green roof. The second part is dedicated to the design of the HVAC system. A heat pump air/water system is proposed as the source of heating and cooling, with a gas boiler as a bivalent source. The heating of the building will be provided through radiators, except for the classrooms, which will have floor heating. Air exchange is ensured through mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. Additionally, a hybrid photovoltaic power plant on the roof partially supplies the building with electricity. The third part involves an experiment on a ventilated facade, where temperature measurements in the air gap are conducted. The result is a comparison between an open ventilated facade and a closed ventilated facade.

The subject of the Master’s thesis is a design of a social center in Havlíčkův Brod. The building will be primarily used for social meetings, education, sports activities or relaxation. It is a two-story building, where both floors are covered with an extensive green walkable flat roof. On the first floor are a café, a multi hall, a chill zone, a workshop for children, dressing rooms, a workshop for adults and utility room. On the second floor are club-room, two classrooms and an office with a room and a walkable terrace. The vertical load-bearing structures are made of CLT panels with a combination of timber and steel columns and beams. The floor structure is made of wooden I-beams and CLT panels. The entire building will be heated by a ground-water heat pumpy. The air handling unit will primarily serve as ventilation. Rainwater will be collected in a storage tank and subsequently used to flush toilets and irrigate the adjacent public space. The photovoltaic system will partially cover the building’s electricity consumption. The third part of the thesis deals with facility management of the building. It contains description of the functioning of the building management and determination and use of important data from the digital model of the building for the facility management. Digital model was created in the Archicad program, where I entered specified data and than I presented then by using the tables.
Kindergarten Šneček
Malá, Barbora ; Sukop, Lukáš (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this Master’s thesis is to design a new kindergarten building. The thesis has three parts. The first part presents the structural and architectural designs of the building. It is a single-storey building with a semi-intensive flat green roof. The building has slab foundations with a foam glass base layer. The vertical load-bearing structures are cast-in-place reinforced concrete walls. The envelope walls have a ventilated façade with mineral wool insulation and the external cladding of the building is made of HPL boards. The horizontal loadbearing structure is designed from a reinforced cast-in place concrete slab. The kindergarten is divided into two classrooms with accompanying facilities for fifteen children each. The second part includes the design of building services such as lighting, heating and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The aim of this part is to design a building with low energy consumption and maximum use of renewable resources. The building uses an air-to-water heat pump for heating and heat distribution is provided by underfloor heating. Fresh air is provided by mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The third part deals with design of the kindergarten garden. It analyses the different play elements used, their spatial, material and legislative requirements. The analysed elements are implemented into the technical drawing of the garden. The thesis is elaborated in ArchiCAD 2025, DEKSOFT and other software.
